Every page load retrieves current OpenAlex records for the ORCID in the website configuration. The date window covers exactly the past two years. Journal articles and conference papers are eligible; preprints, research artifacts, future-dated records, retracted works, and duplicate records are excluded.
The selection score combines field- and year-normalized citation percentile (45%), citations per month (30%), total citations (15%), and recency (10%). Citation counts and pace are log-scaled against the eligible papers. Pace uses a minimum age of three months to reduce the advantage of very new papers. When the percentile is missing, its weight is omitted and the remaining weights are rescaled.
Up to five of the highest-ranked papers with an indexed abstract form the shortlist. If no abstracts are available, the highest-ranked papers are shown with their metadata. The first paper is the highest-ranked shortlisted result; the other cards let you explore the rest.
The reusable HTML template is filled from live metadata. A short contribution-oriented excerpt is selected from the abstract by matching phrases such as “this paper” and “we propose”; the page adds citation signals, author names, research topics, and source links. The excerpt is attributed to the abstract. Citation signals indicate attention rather than guarantee research quality or future impact.
